Bridging Western Australia and the GCC

It was fantastic to host the Trade and Investment WA team at Trademark Group HQ, led by the new Western Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner to the Middle East, Dr. Ian Martinus ACEcD, and Aziz Saba,MBA and Amira Ben Hassine from the Dubai office of Invest and Trade Western Australia alongside our UAE Chairman, Mr Abdulla Lahej.

During the visit, we explored a range of collaboration opportunities between Western Australian companies and the broader GCC region. The discussion focused on how Trademark Group can support WA-based businesses entering the market, providing on-ground support, strategic connections, and local insight.

Key sectors such as mining and resources, agribusiness, renewable energy, critical minerals, and technology innovation were highlighted as areas where Western Australia has world-class expertise and where the region has clear demand.

With the ongoing economic transformation across the Middle East, especially under initiatives like Saudi Vision 2030 and the UAE’s industrial strategy, there is significant room for WA capabilities to play a role in infrastructure development, food security, energy transition, and beyond.
